Form language

The language of form used by Tsjerk Holtrop is based on monumental and organic structures.

Previous studies were an aggregation of details from landscapes, as seen from the water level of canals and rivers. In more recent work the objects are an interpretation of a tree trunk sawn into pieces. The branches have been substituted with utensil parts and forms we can see with the latest nano technology, beyond perception of the naked eye. The sum of these macro and micro- elements is a narrative object on which we can zoom in and out.
